To safely lunge a horse you will need a correctly fitted lunge cavesson to provide extra control and stability while lungeing. Lunge lines should have a swivel mounted fastening to securely fix the lunge line to the cavesson and give you plenty of line length to comfortably lunge your horse. Lunge rollers can be used when long reining your horse or to attach side reins to when lungeing. You will also need a lunge whip to encourage the horse forward and aid control.

When you lunge your horse it is advisable to wear a riding hat and gloves to help protect your head and hands, better safe than sorry!
