The good
Made me feel more confident when riding with the band on and helped me work on my balance.
The bad
I didn't like the rubber material as I got a bit sweaty underneath and had dirt trapped under the band. Maybe have a leather band instead?
The verdict
I would recommend this product.

I have used the band when riding and have noticed a difference in my confidence and balance. Now I'm not 100% sure whether this is psychological just because I have the band on or it physically helps my riding position. Either way, it has worked for me and that's all that matters!

The good
Helped my balance and core strength.
The bad
Quite expensive as doesn't look that strong. Was difficult to get on over my largish hands although very comfy on my little wrists. Not sure how long it would last if you were taking it on and off all the time.
The verdict
I probably wouldn't have bought it had I not tried it first as it looks and sounds like a bit of a gimic but having tried it I would buy another one as it helped me. I would definately recommend it.

When the product first arrived my first impressions were that it couldn't possibly do what it says on the tin. The first thing was to do the equibalance test. Now under normal circumstances, because of my spinal problems, I am completely unable to stand on one leg. I tried to do it and was my usual useless self so I popped on the band thinking that it couldn't possibly work. However, to my utter amazement I was able to stand on my good leg for 1 minute and my bad leg for 30 seconds. Believe me this is amazing as usually it is impossible. Even my husband was shocked! I then tried wearing it to ride out in. My core did feel stronger and I found it easier to be strong in the saddle helping me sit up better. I have worn it for a couple of weeks now day and night and I feel it does make a difference. I still don't really understand why as it doesn't look anything amazing but it seems to work.
It was quite difficult for me to pull it on as although I have tiny wrists I have chunky horse rider hands and it was a tight pull to get it over the hands. It was comfortable on my wrist though. I'm not sure just how long it would last if you were taking it on and off all the time as it doesn't look that strong.
It is quite expensive at £31 as I would expect it to look a bit more hardwearing for that money. However, as it worked for me I would probably buy one.
I think it is worth a try for any riders of any discipline to see whether it helps with your core strength. After all good balance and core strength is a definite plus when riding.

When I was first asked to review the EquiBalance band I wasn't too sure what to expect. I'm not normally one of those people that believes in a hologram helping your core ability, how wrong could I be.
I did the test that is on the back of the box with my Mum and she was so amazed by how much better I could hold myself she wanted a go.
I have also evented in this and found that I had better upper body strength xc with it than without it.
The only thing I would suggest, if you buy one, dont buy white, they get very grubby very quick.
